After 41 years, two best friends recently discovered that they were switched at birth.

David Tait Jr. was born three days after his now best friend, Leon Swanson, in the winter of 1975 at the Norway House Indian Hospital in the western Canadian province.

When they were around 20 years of age, people in the community would poke fun at the two men saying that they looked nothing like their parents, and that they were switched at birth.

After hearing about the story of Luke Monias and Norman Barkman -- two men from a remote Manitoba First Nation who discovered through DNA tests that they also were switched at birth at the same hospital in 1975 -- Tait Jr. and Swanson decided it was time have the test done themselves.

To their surprise, the results proved that they had grown up with the wrong parents their entire life. They were visibly upset at a press conference and want answers as to how this could happen.
