Former Fox News personality Kirsten Powers is leaving her current role with Fox News to work as a political analyst with CNN.

CNN announced Powers’ switch on Monday.

After being with Fox for a decade, Powers will make her first appearance with CNN Monday night on Anderson Cooper 360.

She will continue to write columns for USA Today.

Powers is the fourth Fox personality to join CNN in the past 18 months, including co-host Alisyn Camerota, commentator Bob Beckel and commentator Mary Katharine Ham.

Powers’ departure from Fox comes one month after the departure of Fox CEO Roger Ailes, who resigned in the wake of sexual harassment allegations filed initially by former Fox host Gretchen Carlson and then allegedly substantiated in an internal Fox investigation.

In the wake of the controversy over Ailes, Powers issued a statement chiding the many Fox personalities who initially supported Ailes.

“While I understand loyalty, I was disappointed that so many senior members of Fox’s on-air team rushed to defend Roger in a way that seemed to prejudge an investigation into sexual harassment,” she wrote.

“I would hope that in 2016 people would know that just because you weren’t harassed, or didn’t witness harassment by a certain man, that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen,” she added.

In an interview last year with the Washington Post, Powers admitted her viewpoints often confuse those who prefer people’s beliefs to be wrapped in neat packages.

“Some liberal activists doubt her allegiance to progressive causes and call her a turncoat, while conservative commenters on her Facebook page love to tease her,” wrote The Post.

“I’m perpetually confused,” Powers said. “Just the fact that I’m on Fox News means that somehow I’m not a liberal? I can’t figure out if it’s just ignorance or if there’s something more nefarious about it. Wouldn’t you determine whether I’m a liberal based on what my views are?”

While a self-identified atheist liberal for many years, and still a Democrat, Powers was outspoken about her 2006 conversion to Christianity which has shaped many of her views, including her support of the pro-life movement.

Powers is the author of The Silencing: How the Left is Killing Free Speech.
